easy ingredients, somewhat time consuming
vegan spareribs
Ingredients
- Soy Big Steaks (TVP)
- Steak flavoring
- 2 tbsp Salt
- 2 tbsp tomato purree
- 2 tbsp broth
- 1 tbsp Marmite or similar
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce dark
- 1 tbsp Liquid smoke
- BBQ sauce
- Sriracha sauce as wanted
Instructions
- cook the BigSteaks in saltwater
- pour into a sieve, let cool a bit, and press between two small boards to remove excess liquid
- cook again with enough water, this time add tomato purree, broth, marmite, soy sauce and liquid smoke
- pour again and press again between boards
- on both long sides, make cuts upt to the middle, first one side, on the other place the cuts between the previous cuts (video explains better)
- roast in a pan with oil until satisfying color is reached
- put into a large oven pan, from both sides aplly a good amount of Sriracha (if wanted) and BBQ sauce
- put into th eoven for approx. 10min at 250°C

Notes
I noticed it seems quite difficult to get a hold of the Soy Big Steaks outside Europe. I only could find them in germany and one UK online store, so good luck with this 😉
